Hey fishes, can someone tell me how the 80c bracket works, i know i can get exempt upto 1.5lakh under it, what i wanna know is does PF comes under it or not? For example if my yearly pf deduction is 20k and VPF is 10k so now will i still be able to show investment of 1.5lakh under 80c apart from PF and VPF or i'll be able to get exemption on only 1.2 lakh( 1.5lakh-30k= 1.2lakh)?

Finally landed a Product Manager interview. It's taken 30+ applications to get one. Generally, what should I expect? (In terms of questions). This interview is with 2 senior managers. I got passed the initial recruiter screening.

So I had 3 deals scheduled to either close end of May or mid June which were all pushed to end of June/beginning of July. Which is when I have my first vacation planned for over a year (I take 0 time off). My whole family is flying up and we’re renting a cabin near me. What do I do? I’m running one of the deals, semi running the other one and not doing much leading on the other one. Note: I was supposed to not be running any of these. Do I find a back up first or tell the partners first?

I'm in South Florida. Currently a 6 year associate at a small firm (~12 attorneys, 55 staff). Making a move towards Managing Attorney position that they are considering hiring from outside the firm for. I'm going to make the case that they should promote from within and give me the position. I believe improving one’s sales conversion rate is something everyone want to improve but no one wants to admit they would like to work it. Funny how lawyers will spend thousands on seminars to improve trial skills. But this topic is not discussed in our profession. I have read books in sales. But am unable to find any for lawyers.
