You’re kind of winning. Omnicom is giving “you’re lucky to have a job” to all employees this year
They never give more money. My promotion came with a 2% raise after almost four years of nothing. Best bet is getting another offer and showing it to them to get you to stay from what I've heard.
Trying..
On the occasions where I have put through more than one increase for a person in <12 months, I have had to give a brief rationale to HR and finance. You are technically considered “ineligible” in this time period but your capability lead can override that if there’s a logical explanation for doing it.
Not a policy, but very unlikely you’ll get both back to back.
They’ll do everything possible to not give you a decent raise. So you have to do everything possible to get one… leave if you can.
PS: f them if they try to counter. They didn’t GAF when you asked for what you deserved.
2% would be the cost of living if they gave it every 3 months
I got a raise + promo December 2024, but asked not to say anything for a few weeks (after New Year) - and it was way overdue. At the start of this year, I asked about next steps and when I could step up again and was met with a “well, you did get promoted last year.”
I went years without any sort of pay bump so two in two consecutive years is certainly progress, but still.
You would have to have had a really extraordinary 13-14 months to get a promo that quickly. I could understand wanting a raise, and cost of living raises should really be the norm across all industries. But getting promoted after just over a year only happens in rare circumstances.
