I love shooting TikToks in my corporate hotdesk open office
I mean, everyone wears 1,000 hats in this industry nowadays.
Multimedia designer who’s been in docuseries for Netflix and A&E, had work published in McSweeney’s, worked for dentsu, Publicis, and McCann, with award-winning animation and film, graduated Dean’s List then paid $70K+interest in student loans after juggling working while being a full-time student… currently unemployed \(._.)
One time an agency forced me to act as content creator for an event, even after I protested explaining that I wasn’t the right person for the job. So I took the Paris Hilton approach. I did it so badly, they hired a dedicated content creator role for the agency.
Tbh though I don’t think drawing the lines between content creator, and designer, and art director are a bad thing. I find as art directors we’re forced to put on so many hats already since visual roles within advertising have changed rapidly with technology, having some relief on content creation duties is needed. It almost feels like we’re reverting to an older agency structure with more roles to support art department, but it lines up with more modern tactics and executions we’re seeing brands need and want.
Welcome to the industry. Nothing is beneath you and the more you can get done the longer you’ll be able to stay.
Rising Star
Come on over to tech where they don’t care what it looks like but also give you $4 to produce it
Which company? 👀
Yes I noticed that too. Now what do we (art/copy) do for work?
I thought you meant making industry-focused social content like that twee guy in the sweaters. I want more of that.
