In the upcoming fiscal year of 2022, the USCIS has made calculations on the number of H-1B visas to offer to randomly selected applicants based on acceptances, rejections, and revocations provided for previous years. The initial lottery selection for the H-1B registrants was provided for in March 2021.

Would never choose over a market firm. Would almost never choose over a below market firm.

Your experience will largely depend on the group you are working with. If you have good partners who will advocate for you, it will be a good place. If you don’t, you are largely on an island and will have a varied experience.

It seems to me that the firm’s massive size and decentralized structure lead to a disproportionate share of horror stories, but there must be some nice groups, no?
There are good people here. I’ve found most of the people here to be very friendly, and it is certainly better than AmLaw 200 firms or a lower ranked AmLaw100 firm. Real Estate, Corporate, and certain litigation groups (products) are doing great work.
GT is similar DLA, Dentons, Holland & Knight, etc. Firms with a lot of offices and attorneys that punch high in some respects, but are not in the same level as Kirkland, Etc.
They get a lot of hate on here but I think it’s really hard to generalize given firm size. What group/office?
