Culture is great at PwC DDV
This is false
Ex-DDV here as well lol. Definitely a sweatshop. We hire a lot of bright MBAs and staff them on PMO and they get crushed. Early morning calls with Middle East, and late night calls with Asia.
I’m starting to realize that all Big 4 M&A groups are sweat shops, in one way or another.
Agreed there is a lot of overlap especially at the beginning of big deals / carve outs / separations where there is a lot of future op model design - we work with the DDV teams quite a bit and works well!
Ex- Pwc ddv here. Don’t go there from Deloitte. It’s a sweat shop!
Current PwC DDVer- still a sweat shop!
Unless you enjoy the mind-numbing work they do, hard pass
Why work the hours in ddv when u get the same pay for other groups in advisory
If you wanna work the crazy hours at the very least go to strategy& and get the pay and better projects- —-“a current DDVer”

If you’re in your 20s/early 30s, don’t jump into a new learning curve at a marginally different job for 20k/year. That’s just bad decision making. Try going into industry and coming back to consulting at a higher level (if you really miss it)
I like DDV a lot, and I think we are in a way very much work life balanced as long as you get your work done. I have been working on a Customer acct for the past 9 mo and the cultural difference is palpable. I got told I was "lucky" for the flexibility of taking Fridays off and it's when I told the manager that actually that's how every other deal I've ever worked on operated she looked at me dumbfounded.
I really enjoyed my time working on a long DDV carve out, but maybe I’ve now acclimatised to having no life or soul after 5 yrs
Was actually thinking about joining Deloitte M&A. What makes you want to consider leaving?

I need to inquire more on this... DDV is 20k higher than Deloitte M&A...? That is kinda mind blowing. Is 20K worth it to you? What don’t you like about Deloitte M&A?
