They nickel and dime associates.

Yeesh those are terrible numbers at that level.
Great experience with Polsinelli, positive place to work, doesn’t pay market but still pays well imo
Recent (within last year) former associate. It was a hard place to leave bc the people are great, they put a lot of effort into creating the right culture which sometimes worked and sometimes didn’t. But if you put in hours and a lot of effort, you feel wildly underpaid. Particularly in top markets and groups. I got the sense many colleagues in smaller markets didn’t feel the same way, but my takeaway from those convos is we just often had different goals and standards of work honestly. Some people were amazing to work with and learn from. Others I wouldn’t take advice from on my worst day. It’s a mixed bag for sure.
Which office? In my experience across from them, they're super mid at best.
No, I mean they're not great counsel. Lots of errors in filings (substance and typos), seem lazy (or dumb), don't understand their own client's business, overly aggressive even when they're wrong. But maybe it's a good place to work at? Dunno, but from the outside looking in, seems like a mess.
Mostly chill, but very much depends on what group you’re in. Pay is way under market, but billable requirement is 1900 (slightly less than other big firms). Even that said, over half of associates don’t hit this requirement, which means no bonus. I would say there is work life balance for most, a lot fewer nights/weekends. And the firm is fairly flexible on office attendance, again depending on office and group. Nice people, for the most part.
Definitely pays less than market. 1850 billable hours. I have heard from some associates it's decent WLB...not sure though.

Must be doing something right…they just hired entire H&K Philly office
Where are you reading this
Working across from their bankruptcy group I found that they were poor attorneys with seriously questionable ethics.
Good firm going through immense growing pains and as such adjusting to the quality of work. In markets where true big law is not well established, this firm is a real player.
As noted below (above?), there is a really large discrepancy in pay against market especially at the senior associate levels. However, their rates have been increasing rapidly in an attempt to narrow the gap. Whether they can ultimately close it, given the clientele they have, remains to be seen.
What group? That hasn’t been my experience.
Decent wlb in Boston
Had to put some litigation attorneys on our company’s “do not use” list they did such a bad job on a straightforward personal injury defense case… would not recommend that group
