Thoughts on the new 10% COVID relief surcharge NYC restaurants are allowed to add to customers bills? Apparently the surcharge can continue until 90 days after the restaurant returns to full indoor dining capacity, which could be a very long time

I am bored out of my ever loving mind. No heavy incentive to look for work just yet due to COVID in my area + I’m not really sure what position to even look for since I don’t want to go back into PA. You can only scroll through social media and news so many hours of the day. I’ve cleaned. I’ve FT dated. I’ve read. And read. And read. I’ve done the self makeover/reflection thing. 🤦🏼‍♀️

We were forced to take 6 days leave in April (bovenwettelijk) which was kind of a weird move. I don’t think our bonuses are getting cut this year so if it’s my bonus or 6 days leave I’d gladly take the latter.

I have $20k in savings, I owe $6,000 to my 401k loan, that’s the only loan I got. I am debt free otherwise except for my house. Should I use my savings to pay off? Since people are talking about unemployment and being fired, I wanted to make sure I have enough, 👩🏾‍💻... What should I do? We are a firm of 5 transactional attorneys and the bonus structure is very unclear. The usual “based on personal performance and firm profitability” language. I wonder how this is calculated in general. What is the percentage bracket of the bonus? Assume it is a high performance 9+ year attorney and the firm is profitable (even with COVID). The based salary is low $120k. Firm is in Tx. I’d love to hear your comments.

Curious what firms are doing to keep people socializing during COVID. I miss my coworkers but I'm sick of zoom calls.

I’m on the high side of the BMI scale and really want to prioritize healthy movement. Not ready to formally go back to the gym or do fitness group classes inside (both from a covid mentality and feeling uncomfortable due to size). Started walking more and incorporating some cardio videos, thinking of getting a machine for my apartment (bike, elliptical, etc.)…any recommendations of best machine to incorporate or additional fitness ideas?
