Pretty elementary stuff tbh
I would think large scale heuristic optimization would be what you want for most supply chains rather than Watson.
I'm not at IBM but Watson is just a collection of APIs. It isn't like you turn it on and have a supply chain robot.
Everyone who is pushing ai that doesn't work in the space neglects to mention the massive amount of resources you have to put into developing a jeapordy it go ai. Alpha Go required milliind if hours of compute time if I recall correctly. Not sure where that was measured pretty gpu core or cpu core. Still it is tons of compute. Not to mention they had to throw very highly skilled labor at the problem.
Not finding any real world large scale cases of use. So wondering how much value it to truly adds
Would be interesting to hear if any non-IBM 🐠 have ever recommended or studied
Watson is smoke and mirrors.
IBM - mind expanding ? I keep hearing this. Curious because I have a workshop coming up considering AI for supply chain and Watson is one on the list
Director 1 has a good definition. Also please consider what processes you're trying to automate in the supply chain and figure out if they're not already automated and if not...why? The answer will usually lead to a solution that leads to many man-hours for a solution model that's not feasible to maintain.
