Considering an opportunity in data engineering / data infrastructure. The recruiter said that the company still operates independently from Microsoft, and the Glassdoor reviews are almost all favorable. Would be a bump in pay and benefits are much better.

Wondering if anyone has insights or perspective on culture, perception of the company compared to other tech companies, etc.

I intend to ask about annual merit increases and what they have been previously, but was wondering if anyone had ever negotiated an annual increase based on inflation in addition to any performance based merit increases. Seems like a smart way to protect myself while times are so volatile and not get stuck with the typical 3% when inflation is 8+. Thoughts?

Interviewing for a Google job. Currently an M2 at Meta. On the cusp of a D1 - what’s the equivalent level for D1 at Google? In Austin - so what salary should I be asking for and RSUs? Currently make base $250k plus 25% bonus and started Meta with 200k in stock. Their reasoning is always “we went in a different direction”. Each of the interview processes was 4-5 interviews so it’s a big time commitment and really gotten my hopes up each time.
