Find internal reference to expedite the process for HR to even look at ur resume.
Honestly, thats how it rolls at google from my experience.
No way you get in the door without knowing someone or they reach out to you. Completely separate referral portal
I think that most people are willing to talk, everyone loves to talk about themselves. Ask them about their experience, how they got the job and ask if they can give you the contact info of the recruiter for the job. Maybe ask for a 10-15 min phone call. I'm not sure that it's fair for you to ask if they will refer you or be a reference but they could be a good resource to find more about the process and guide you with the next steps.
Wow. Don't know anyone
Find someone on LinkedIn and reach out.
If you don’t know anyone how’d you find the job?
Found the job on LinkedIn. I fit the role to my knowledge. I just need to make sure my resume is seen..
What do I say to a random Google employee on LinkedIn? Would they refer me ?
Work through your alumni network to see if anyone works there?
Find friend or family member who knows someone. Even your friends' friend may be fine referring you... google likely offers a referral bonus anyway. And from everything I know, unless you know someone or Google reaches out to you, there's pretty much no chance of even getting an interview .
