Look, the money is in retooling the whole workforce, i.e.: show that the AI still needs to be observed and validated with humans in the loop. You stick all the moderately expensive middle managers there, now with fewer actual direct reports and they get to put AI on their sheets. You retrain and rework the associates into specifying operational process flows and DQM rules for agentic agents, since they understand the low level implementation challenges and can identify the second order problem scoping issues, even if they don't know what that is - and they get more important operational agents and automations to stare at and validate. You continually re-pivot the workforce to new agents to specify and / or observe and only reduce those that refuse to grow with the tools.
Typewriters were supposed to be the death of us all in the workforce. So we're computers. So was the internet. Jobs changed, roles changed, and people are still here.
If you want to reject it, nobody can or will protect you.
