Best way to deal with a doorman you don’t like? There is one (among other doormen who are nicer) in my building that is always condescending towards me as if he’s asserting dominance. Many times he would yell at me to pick up the packages when clearly I’m occupied/going outside. I’m the type that don’t interact with doormen unless necessary so wonder if it’s his way of getting attention. I've been told by people to not be loyal to companies & I've seen posts in forums where people have talked about leaving workplace 1, at workplace 2 for like 3 weeks, and already interviewing for workplace 3 (and the recruiter for workplace 3 doesn't even know that the person has left workplace 1). Have any of you taken "low bono" clients while working at a firm? I want to take on a low bono client or two but not sure who would get the money. This is a contract opportunity through a non profit so I'm assuming a 1099 will be issued. The per hour rate is significantly less than my billable rate.
