Disagree. Work accomplishments shouldn’t be limited by the calendar year either…
I agree with that! You should do your timeline and not base it on a year calendar. I like to have 5-10-year plans and review them occasionally without stressing myself about metrics.
I'm torn... part of me agrees because some of the things we do in life are a lot more intangible and can't be measured at the end of the year, like a financial statement.
That being said, ever since I adopted an OKR framework for my life, I've found things improving. I've been doing it for a year now and it's helped me immensely in rebuilding good habits, in setting boundaries with work so I can focus on other things that matter to me too.
