Unsure what to do here - a colleague was on extended medical leave and their institutional clients were assigned to me for coverage while out. The leave ended last week but two of their large clients have specifically asked to remain with me as they I guess liked my coverage better. My colleague is now pissed at me and acting like I did something wrong?? Is there anything I can say or do to try and like smooth things over? We were pretty close so it seems odd :/

Is it a bad idea to start by applying to a couple positions that interest me and seeing where that gets me? I’ll of course prep for the interviews but am afraid to burn potential bridges if I ultimately decline because I’m still figuring things out.

Boomer. I am in between jobs. Laid off in 10/21 after 16+ yrs, with an ABA firm. RIF. Still on excellent terms. Took my time living off generous package and didn’t seriously start applying until 01/22. Made a rookie mistake and accepted first offer.
Turns out job wasn’t as advertised. Mutual parting of ways 3/22. Due diligence is critical.
Now interviewing a LOT. Some temp work, I still have “it”. I relate to all gens. Willing to mentor AND learn from all. Tech savvy, CTE from day one. Leads?
