That practice also does a lot of infrastructure work as in large construction projects, etc. Pretty fast growing area with lots of opportunity. Not sure we do case studies with experienced hires but we do sometimes with seniors coming out of MBA programs. You'll have several interviews and some of them will test your technical knowledge and others will be more around culture and fit. The clue will be who's speaking with you. People outside of the PM practice will be more culture and fit. You can ask the HR person helping you to explain who each person is in advance or just ask each interviewer what they do when your start the interview. You'll talk to some piers, an M or SM or too and a partner if there's one around. EY interviews are pretty low key and once you make it to the in office interviews, you're pretty much someone we want to hire and we're just making sure. Relax. Enjoy the day. And good luck.

Like any other big 4. Lots of content related questions. Which group within PI? Is this FSO?

Never heard of ppm

No idea.

What have they told you about the PPM? Type of projects and work? Make sure your up to speed with trends in project management and portfolio management. Setting up pipelines for projects and how to valuate projects. IRR and NPV knowledge.

EY2 is there a lot of capital project work? Do you do both portfolio work and program or are you aligned with one side?

Question for recent Deloitters and other consultants who work at consulting firms with job application forms like Taleo (a detailed form) Did anyone skip the non-required blanks and yet still get an interview/offer? For example, Deloitte application has non-required fields asking for supervisors from each job. I would like to put a note: “My supervisor does not know I am job searching; references available upon request should I be selected as a finalist candidate.” I worry that’ll look bad

This may be just a naive/dumb question, but how do you relax when you’ve got a really stressful file? I’m a junior and I’ve been putting in ~10ish billable hours a day recently, which is more than I’m used to. The evenings (post-8pm) are generally my time to decompress - read a book, watch dumb tv, whatever - but it’s been all work lately until 10 or 11pm and I struggle to go straight from work to bed. Any insight on what everyone else does?

I’m a 2nd year civil litigation associate at a mid-sized firm in south Florida. My dream has always been to go in house but was dissuaded by law school professors telling me not to. I’m at a crossroads now because I’m OVER the billing, but my boss and direct team is quite possibly the most amazing and supportive group. My boss is always willing to let us work remote or take vacations. My question is, is the grass greener on the other side? Should I go in house now or wait another 3 years?
