Over $100K is probably for a second year valuation senior. S1 is a good time to make a move. It gets harder the further up you get as valuation is quite specialized. I think transitioning as a S1 is probably not that difficult. Need to be top rated though. They usually don't let mid tier performers transfer over to a premium group.
Market? Seniors in NYC audit are like $75K - $90K. I think valuation seniors are often above $100K.
Also, who knows. Maybe PwC/Deloitte have a more pressing need and give you a better offer than what EY is giving. Firm loyalty is good to a certain extent, but you need to look out for yourself. I don't see the harm in seeing what the market has to offer.
Way more got valuations
Any numbers to share?
@manager 1, how difficult is it to make the switch from fso audit to valuation as an S1 or S2?
NYC market...thanks for the information. the ones above 100k, is that for a rank 3 senior?
^^^in NYC
Sorry I meant grade 3
If I've recently transferred to fso nyc from midwest core assurance (3 busy seasons), do you think I have to wait an entire yr to transfer to valuation (at EY)? Or should I contact pwc or Deloitte?
Contact PwC and Deloitte. Apply with them and interview. If they give you an offer you can hold it over EY to make the transfer happen quick. I think it's best to keep all your options open. That will give you the most leverage and make the transfer happen quickest. Without competing offers you are at EYs mercy and that can often result in a long, drawn out process.
Thank you Manager1! Appreciate it!
