Does anyone know if their firm has any inclusion initiatives around hiring individuals with special needs as part of a transition program? For example, when offices are open, having individuals be employed by the firm and help with more administrative tasks such as helping to get conference rooms set up for events, assisting visitors, etc.? My younger brother has special needs so am trying to help my parents look for a few options and was wondering if any of the consulting firms have this!

My district has finally gone 1-to-1. Is there a good app or website that I could use to have students submit answers anonymously while going over problems in class? I did this last week using Kahoot to go over a state testing review packet. It was great because I could see how many got the right answer and move on if no one missed the question. However, I would like to do it without having to create something in advance. I hope this doesn't sound confusing.

I definitely feel like student engagement is low in the virtual realm. Any suggestions would be great.

Any good outside activities (math related) that I can do? I have Nerf guns and remote control cars I could use.

Does anyone know a great 7th grade math workbook? Our school system does not buy the students books. Iโ€™ve taught 6th grade math for 20 years and have made all my notes, worksheets and and examples, but Iโ€™ve been assigned a seventh grade math class and donโ€™t have enough time to get all of that ready. I feel like Iโ€™ve spent so much money on Amazon and TPT but it never ends up being what I want. Itโ€™s usually too easy. I would be grateful for any ideas, suggestions or actual workbooks names. Thanks.

I finally was able to convince my principal that we need a consistent math intervention at the MS level (grades 5-8). (Right now, we are just "doing our own thing," which isn't helping students progress much.) Does anyone have any suggestions? It would be beneficial to have some sort of progress monitoring tool as part of the program, if possible. Our classes run roughly 55 minutes (which is too long for an intervention, in my humble opinion).

Thanks for any advice.

I found using GoFormativeโ€™s free version to be very helpful in teaching new topics to my students. I embed videos I make demonstrating how to complete a question, next I ask them to complete an example showing work, and then the next question they type their answer so it automatically alerts them to see if they answered correctly. It can be used live in a meet and on an independent virtual day. In my google meets, Iโ€™m able to give feedback on any question they have trouble with in real time.

My question is this: โ€œIs it legal by California Ed code for the administration to ask me to teach less than each entire semester, yet test each whole semester?โ€
