I am a traditional reservist so I never really used military benefits before, but could use advice here.

I am currently renting and my lease is not up until October 2021, however I found a good deal on a home and scheduled to close in June 2021.

why rent over buy; seems like “throwing money” away?

I’m maxing out my 401K, traditional IRA and HSA this year and paying for some house improvements. I have about $750K total investments and very close to $2M net worth, but realize that I am behind on investments if I want to do FIRE. I was focused on paying off huge chunks of my mortgage and managed to whittle it down to $75K left. Would you suggest I go ahead and pay that off this year? Or pause and do a mega back door roth instead? I’m mid 40s. Thanks!

Trying to open an account on TreasuryDirect to buy i bonds, and I am required to get an authorized certifying officer to sign a form to complete the process to open an account. Anyone know what that is? I went to my bank and asked, they don’t think they can sign it 🧐

We decided to do a photo session before the wedding for the two of us and family. The photographer and the location were amazing but the makeup was terrible, and because I was low on time, I couldn't fix it before the photos. The makeup artist make me look yellow! Great question! And without getting too much into monetary policy.... Fed rates are set by the Federal Reserve which banks use to charge each other to borrow money. A lot of times these rates move together, however, a Fed rate increase does not instantaneously change the rates the bank offers.

Other types of savings account have seen an increase this year such as online savings accounts and fixed annuities.
