What you didn't know about engineering...
I got a call from HR and offer discussion was over couple of weeks back and still waiting for them to send me final mail to release offer. May I know if they take this much time to release offer, when I did a follow up call after 10 days they said they are waiting for some approval to release offer.
Any ideas i still have chances to get offer? BNY Mellon

HRC has become a left-wing joke. I can’t believe I ever gave them a dime. Your politics are your politics, but I’ll have nothing more to do with that organization. Same with GLAAD. My partner feels the same and we joke about how we had our photos taken with the organizations’ fundraisers posters in the background.

Which is why I'm asking what private sector advocacy groups you prefer?
I’m pretty sure their culture didn’t change because they stopped giving data to HRC.

I'm seeing steps in this direction at my firm and I'm not really sure what, if anything, I should do about it.
Ugh, I'm sorry to hear that. My gut says to pay attention, but if it reaches a point where you're feeling invalidated, unaccepted or even passively dismissed, it may be time to put feelers out. I'd have a hard time with this, especially if the company I signed up for moves the goal post backwards.
HRC is the one sounding like the bully demanding data from companies it previously ranked highly.
I’d think twice before applying or working for such a place, I’d also take a closer look at how they are treating their LGBTQ employees in practical terms and if they are now switching to funding right-wing, anti-LGBTQ organizations or politicians. The latter has a much larger impact for me and my decision tbh.
