I was interviewed at EY UK on 7th Sep. It was quite smooth. Since then I haven't heard anything back from them though interviewer claimed SLA to get back with outcome of interview is 48 hours. On portal it still says I'm in hiring team phase. It was level 1 interview.
Should I take this delay as rejection?

I feel for you. All of you. As a CCO who has worked for several of the world’s top agencies, I have one piece of advice I will keep pushing: There are NO dream agencies. Each is just a company run by humans. And since humans are flawed, agencies are flawed. If you put too much stock in any one company/agency/job opportunity, you are guaranteed to find disappointment. Just as in love, don’t look to find a soul mate; simply seek a good relationship. Sometimes magic happens. But don’t make it a requirement.
Thanks,it made me feel better !
Same. I get super anxious, then depressed, then numb. Then I tell myself, hey at least I have a job. It's not healthy.
Best tip is to interview like you don't need the job.
Very true.
Currently going through this. I was in final round interviews and presented them a campaign even. I was supposed to here back by Tuesday and sent them an email yesterday and no one replied. I thought we really connected and it just blows. As for how I'm coping, I drank some wine and applied for more jobs. If I still don't hear anything next week I'll probably send them a strongly worded email.

Sounds like they stole your ideas for some FREElance work.
Happened to me last year. Seven (!) interviews and then crickets. It really bummed me out at the time and TBH, I still think about from time to time. A few weeks later I got several offers within a few days of another and that helped. :)

Have had it happen twice, with big holding co agencies. 5-6 rounds of interviews, final presentations with good feedback and then…. Nothing. It’s unreal.
There's a lot of this multi round nonsense these days. Same exact thing happened to me, but didn't have to do a presso. Thank god. Otherwise I'd be even more gutted.
At least you didn’t get ghosted after you got an offer. I signed the contract and supposedly I start next week, but no one is responding to my emails. I guess I’ll just be unemployed for a while 🤷♀️

Technically any contract can cease to exist if it’s in the states with employment at will.
We have to stop accepting these insane multi-round interviews and free work requests. Let's demand ONE interview with the decision-maker and that's it. If they can't figure out who to hire after a single interview they probably suck at making decisions in general, and every decision will be by committee.
Insanity is right! I don't even meet the family after months of dating, now you need the whole fucking agency to approve 🤯🙃☠️
Rejection means redirection to something better for you. You’ll be in a better spot and sometimes not getting what you want is a stroke of luck. Keep moving forward and the right place will be in your field!
Currently going through this as well, in addition to learning that the HR rep I’d been speaking to made the jump to another agency, so there’s that.
