Currently on a project with an extremely abrasive and condescending female manager - shreds me to pieces every time we talk about my deliverable (she offers a good perspective, but unnecessarily rude and demeaning in her feedbacks). Hello there! I currently work in billing at a medical office. I got my Bachelors in Psychology a few years ago but I couldn’t find a position that seemed like a good option for me that was well paying and fulfilling. I tried working as a tech at an Applied Behavior Analysis clinic but it wasn’t a good fit. I’m hesitant to try case management or social work because I worry I won’t like it but I want to use my degree in Psychology. Does anyone have any ideas for me?

After 4 rounds of interviews, a company tells you you're a final candidate, and gives you a deadline for when a decision will be made. Then they blow past that date and ghost you for over a week. No phone calls or emails returned. Would you still consider the job if given the offer weeks later? Feeling a little disrespected.

Work has been slow. How bad would it be if I got a second job and just got a double paycheck? If it’s wfh they’ll never know.

I’m Latino. No degree, because my family couldn’t afford it. I worked hard to get in. I got over half of my jobs by ignoring the bachelor’s degree requirements on job postings. In my most recent job, the computerized form required a degree to even submit it. I just lied and put a “0.0” GPA to get through the system. If you think this systemic crap doesn’t affect your diversity numbers, wake up.

What NYC agencies have got everyone working from home at the moment?

Small agency owner 🙋🏻‍♂️ I’ve wracked my brain and have 3 biz model options, none great:

Billable hrs: Generally accepted. We all know the downsides.

Pay4performance: Big upside potential, tons of risks.

Project pricing: Cloak for billable hours. You have to estimate project cost with something.

Who’s thought of a better approach??? Genuinely curious if there is one.
