I would say 175-200k is not unreasonable, depending on skill set. Plus 10% annual bonus. I'm in the energy and utilities group so happy to chat more if you'd like more info
Few years ago WMPâs E&U practice offered me $115k base for SC coming out of target MBA (plus 7 yrs relevant industry experience). Base comp progression appeared to be high single digits per year. So notably lower than big 4 in terms of base comp. Didnât put a ton of weight on their ESOP (personal perspective). Heard the culture is great. In the energy sector, WMP tends to get mostly PMO/CMO type work, if thatâs your thing. The big 4 all have competitive teams in the space, and all are growing (if youâre after more comp)
Esop no longer exists as we've moved onto a new employee ownership structure. Those that had shares profited greatly. Literally overnight millionaires all over the firm.
As far as comp, I've received several Big4/ACN offers and they were all at or below my current comp. West monroe has made a big shift to make base pay more aligned with competitors. ESOP was a big part of the comp structure before and those that believed in it profited greatly. We recently had a market adjustment that made sure every employee was in at least the 75th percentile of salaries within the industry.
