What are books & resouces you've found helpful?

Mine:
1) Thom Hartmann's book "ADHD: A Hunter in a Farmer's World". The hypothesis is that ADHD was an evolutionary advantage to our ancestors and that's why it's so common. So in this society, folks with ADHD often struggle because this world is designed for linear "farmers" who are good at planning and using their executive functions. But in the right environment we can thrive!

2) I would highly recommend reading/listening to Brené Brown's work about shame & guilt. I think wrapping my head around that plus realizing that not getting ADHD treatment made me also feel like something was "wrong" with me was helpful. ADHD is just a different brain type that we share with probably millions of people on planet Earth. We can learn about it, develop strategies to work with it, and continually learn to take it easy on ourselves. Beating ourselves up for not being different than we are hasn't been effective so far. What happens when we practice loving ourselves and slow down to listen to what our brains and hearts have been trying to tell us all along?

My wife swears by ADHD 2.0.

Hi all, I am trying to DCA bi-weekly into Vanguard ETFs, (VO, VTI etc). It seems like Fidelity does not support auto buying of non-Fidelity ETFs. So I was wondering which of these options you think is best?

1. Open a Vanguard Invest account
2. Look for Fidelity ETFs that are similar to Vanguard ETFs
3. Use smaller brokerages like SoFi l, Robinhood etc.

NFW- I just had a good laugh. Earlier today I was on a video conference call reviewing a Private Label Agreement template with a larger company who wishes to brand label products we develop and manufacture. We came to a very one-sided provision and my sales VP stated “for this one, how can we just say ‘hell no’ ...nicely?” The other person on the call said we can replace the wording with just NFW (no f@$* way) and I said “I will have to add that to the defined terms section so it’s clear”

A therapist said to close her door if we don’t want to see it but it’s more than that. She needs this important life skill & I don’t know how to help. I've asked for help, and, to avoid a long post, she expects me to figure it out. Perhaps you go through this too, but when I don't have a clear guide on completing big projects, it paralyzes me because I don't know where to start. On top of that, I have anxiety, so "it has to be perfect".
