Nice sweater with hair styled. Sweatpants 😂
Dress shirt or blouse, or simple solid color sweater.
No blazer.
For me the rule is, I shouldn’t notice, or remember what you were wearing after the call. Neutral business casual.
No shirt.

If you can’t shock your new boss, how are you going to shock an audience?
So far I’ve tried to split the difference and have stuck to sweaters.
It’s an interview. Show up and be your best self. Act like you give a damn for 60 minutes at least.
It was the same as when we were in offices. Interviewees dress up slightly. Interviewers wear what they wear every day. Sometimes that's just a t-shirt and jeans. I never saw that as disrespectful (as the interviewee). Plus, as an interviewer, you sometimes don't find out until last minute that you're talking to someone.
Hoodie. Come as you are
I personally wear a full suit 🤷🏻♂️
It’s more than just “well, they can’t see below the waist - so why bother”; it also puts me in the right mind frame and gives an additional confidence bump. But that’s just me, and anyone that knows me, would tell you - I wear a three piece suit everyday out of the house regardless. So I’m very likely an outlier.
Black or solid darkish jewel tones look good on camera.

Button-up shirt, boxers, and slippers 😂
Blazer and a blouse! Oh and no pants🥴
I have interviewed 5 people this week and cannot tell you what any of them wore.
^ I think this brings up a good point, if you’re a creative as opposed to accounts or finance position, are you given more leeway on what you wear?
When I interviewed for my last position, I originally went in for an AM position working on a Pharma account, and after talking to the hiring manager he made a comment about me not having to wear suits to the everyday. When I replied that I always wear a suit regardless, he put me on a zoom call with another hiring manager and was instead put on a finance client as they wanted someone who would be able to work out of their corporate office in the city. So in my instance, dressing in a suit paid off really well. But I’m also not a creative, so I can see how that could be a moot point for them.
Overall, I guess it’s “dress for the job you want”.
Also, personally I feel like you show respect for someone’s time by dressing up to be presentable. It shows you put effort and thought into your personal presentation for the benefit of the interviewer.
In warmer weather: black t-shirt or a super lightweight button-up and jeans because I sweat a lot and those help control/hide it.
In colder weather: nice black sweater or thicker button-up, darker jeans, and boots.
If I had cool sneakers, I'd do that, but I'm cheap and tragically uncool.
Exactly.
I’d focus more on the background behind you? Are you in good lighting? Does your room and environment look creative? That matters more
I’m a big fan of the all-black turtleneck.

My turtleneck says “bigsexy inc.” small on the collar and I feel great every time I wear it
Blazer and a nice top
I went polo and khaki shorts in case they could see a little waistline.
I’m a big sweater so in the olden days I’d get nervous because I’m sweating and get thrown off my game before the interview even started. For these interviews I was cool collected and comfortable which helped me crush every interview.
There is no Jake, only ZUUL.
Shirt and tie
A literal suit 😂
I thought black t-shirt was the standard issue uniform for creatives
khakis
Makes sense
A sweater or button down on top. Sweatpants on the bottom.
