I have been researching into this these days and there is literature that shares how lending worked in pre-Islamic Arabia. When the time to pay back a loan came, the lender would ask "would you pay or will you increase?" And that increase was usually doubling the loan. Subsequently ever year the loan wasn't paid it was doubled from the previous year.

That couple who asked for cash for their mortgage downpayment at their wedding is getting a lot of shit but I feel like that's honestly really smart. Why not ask for what you really need? Especially with prices how they are and only getting worse.

Crying for my RSUs….started at my company about 6 months ago and got some RSUs split over 3 years.
