Does anyone have a financial advisor they recommend? So far I just throw everything extra into a mutual fund but I know this isn’t the smartest way. Looking for someone who can deal with the independence restrictions and help me make smarter decisions (or just do it for me)

Does your employer provide free financial planning and resources as part of your benefits? If you can help it, I’d avoid paying someone else telling you how to manage your money. Less monies for you, more monies in someone else’s pocket

A real financial planner should be able to asses your current financial plan and provide value that exceeds their fee. I highly recommend you start at letsmakeaplan.org, or private message me and I potential recommend someone specific based on your needs.

Are there certified individual financial advisors who can offer credit card debt counseling? I am aiming to make sound decisions.

C1, there definitely are, but I must admit it’s not my specialty. Happy to offer up some time for you however. May be able to connect you with a CFP(r) that has a deeper knowledge base in this area

so every single major dip the last 4 months have been magnified by the use of leverage. If btc drops “naturally” by 5%, but liquidations are in the billions (which they have been), then that 5% drop turns into 15%. Over leveraged apes are literally screwing it up for all of us more than just themselves. Frustrating but also somewhat positive news that onchain analytics, fundamentals, and general TA are still in play. We’ll see what happens because I don’t think these levered traders will stop

Question! I just moved(transferred) to another team of my company and received new title, graphic & creative services. I was a senior graphic designer at the previous team. What do you think about my new title? I know that title is not a big thing but why I feel like my title is downgraded here… Good thing is my jobs here at my current team are what I really wanted to do. This is amazing. I love my new team and people here! Super healthy working environment! But just curious about the title.

Hey folks - I have an inquiry on my credit for a gym membership I “failed to cancel”. I had previously left this gym as it closed during pandemic, and shifted to a new location. In doing so, I informed the gym I would be leaving. I NEED HELP WITH CREDIT SCORE issues: Two months ago my credit score went down by 30 to 40 points due to dad missing credit card payment by a day (i got added to as authorized user on his credit card for me to build credit but now I’m filled with regret). I was devastated by it. This past month I have been making more payments and paid off my aug statement in full thinking it will boost my credit score. But I don’t know why it went down another 10 points. More below:

My boyfriend and I make 200K combined and live in NJ. We have $1000 in monthly car payments combined. That’s all we owe. Our credit scores are in the 800s. We have 50K to put down on a home. We have done the math and I know we can afford much more but he doesn’t want to buy more than a 400K home. I’m almost positive we can afford 500K and be more than ok. But then he starts to talk about how much kids cost and how we will be house poor and we won’t be able to afford kids. 🤔 Am I insane??

Can someone help me understand how backdoor Roth works in my situation?

I contribute the $19.5K max to a 401K each year. Would backdoor Roth be (A) the ability to roll $6K of that $19.5K into a Roth? or (B) an incremental $6K that I could contribute to a separate IRA then backdoor into a Roth?

Asked another way, does backdoor Roth allow me to actually contribute $25.5K each year, or does it just allow $6K of my $19.5K contribution to build in a Roth?

Thanks!
