Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?
Hi. I would appreciate any advice on this. I have been working in TCS for 3 years in Support domain. I have completed my PGP in Data Science and Business Analytics. I have been trying to get placed in Accenture. I applied last November as a referral to Accenture. However, my resume was rejected. I thought it was because I was not serving notice period and still studying my PGP. However, I have completed my degree now and am looking to switch over. (In comments) Accenture

Old school networking is best.
I always find people that work at the agency through LinkedIn. It’s a win-win because they usually get a bonus. Many open jobs are not even advertised.

I’d recommend networking but also headhunters. They tend to find a good fit for your specific skill set and needs. Best of luck!
It’s not the platform. It’s what you do on it to stand out and get noticed. And I think LinkedIn is best for that.
