Anyone hiring entry level account in Boston?
I was told by my manager that
-> I'd be promoted in August
=> checked back in September and I was told everything's set on their end and they are waiting
=> checked back in October and I was told there's a hiring freeze ( not sure how that ties in with a promotion?)
Am I being played or do I start looking for jumping ships or is this an expected scenario in today's situation? Dell

Likely offer $180K base, 15% bonus, asked for sign on bonus - don’t know a number yet.. is this standard within the range? What else can you negotiate and how much? Relocation expenses? Any inputs/advice to negotiate better appreciated.. McKinsey & Company

It’s super easy.. I was a former EFA for 3 years
Good to know, that’s more of the career path I’m looking for. Thanks!
What type of interview (behavioral, case study?)? Also EFA commercial or EFA GPS?
Super basic like the above said
The efa career path is shit tbh. You get paid more than audit/tax until partner because you can’t sell work you can’t even make partner. The highest is MD which there are not many of in the efa practice. And also like the above said since it’s such a weird role exit opps are sparse. Since you’re already a financial analyst I’d stick to that role as that’s the role I was trying to get into by being an efa which was super difficult. I had to basically embellish the role to be able to get into a financial analyst role at a crappy large biotech company and then transitioned from there into tech
Oh you’re gonna be an analyst? There’s no travel for most projects. There were a few exceptions though l. Had a co worker having to go to Chicago every week (he transferred over from the Chicago office) and a couple other friends of mine go to go in office to the campus of another tech company but that’s because the client and partner were super anal haha. So for the most part no. Before Covid you got to go to the Deloitte university campus which is super sick! It’s basically a hotel with a bunch of free food, Starbucks, a gym and the rooms are super nice. Your onboarding might also be in a different city as well. I was based in sf office but went to Texas for my first three days of work.
