What class do you fly for domestic flights? International flights? Prices have gotten so expensive…

Domestic: Economy exit row > comfort plus > first class

International: Business class using points

Domestic flights I get upgraded pretty frequently to premium but don’t mind getting stuck in economy, Europe I typically buy premium economy, Asia I spring for a lay flat seat

Always economy domestically at this point. It’s not worth paying 3-4x the cost for business and I have status on several airlines so I tend to get upgraded. I tend to fly business for overnight international flights but try to use miles or otherwise be smart about when I book for cost reasons.

Depends on the likelihood that I’ll have to work on the flight and the length of the flight. If over 3 hours or if I am sure have to work on the flight I’ll pay you $100-150/hour to upgrade to first. If I don’t have to work or it’s a short flight I do economy plus (usually exit row) though I’m a united golf member so I get it for free. If I had kids maybe this calculus would be different.

Domestic if longer than 3 hours, then biz or first (which is really biz). International, unless it’s Canada, always biz. I look at it as if I can’t afford the biz class, I can’t afford the trip, so I just don’t go. Amex points help a ton though.

For work, always economy or economy exit row. Although firm pays for premium economy, I don’t like to upgrade on their dime and my work trips are always shorter than 2 hours anyways.

If you notice that a junior associate on your team has over-billed, how would you handle it? I don’t want to get them in trouble, but noticed that they billed extremely high numbers even though I was doing all they work on the deal and they completely disappeared other than for client conference calls. Certain things that they billed for on the final invoice, I alone handled and never asked them to do. Appreciate any advice. I’m a mid-level in case it helps for context.

Thanks in advance!
