Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.

They need me at my job, but I’m being way under paid. I’ve asked twice for a pay increase. Can anyone help me with the tax implications on the bonus received . I got 2.5L bonus in this payroll and 56k tax was deducted at source. Now I’m on notice so I have to resign and return the gross amount that is 2.5L .. what happens to the tax I paid 56k ? Is that my loss ?

I am a proposal manager for federal consulting company. My base is low (112000) but I make up upto 50-70% of my base income with win bonuses. But I get the bonus only after the completion of one year of the base period of the contract. My question is -is this arrangement good or should I negotiate for higher base instead ?
