I have heard that Goldman Sachs is rescinding offers of temporary contract workers. I have an offer letter from Goldman Sachs Bangalore for a full time permanent role and am already on notice period. There is still 2 months for the joining date. Is there a hiring freeze coming? If yes, will they rescind offers that have already been made? Goldman Sachs
I’m so happy this bowl exists 🥹🫶🏼

Is it a nice idea to be close to your employees?
I have been given a verbal offer of 145k base for a Sr. Associate role as Data Analytics Lead. The offer doesn’t come with any kind of bonuses or stocks.
I have a Masters and 5+ years of exp and my current comp is 115.5k + approx 5k bonus + ~20k in stocks (yearly refreshes) which makes my total current comp to 140k.
Is it worth taking the offer for increase in just the base?
What are my chances of negotiating into a VP level role with at-least 155k?

Anybody have insight into ballpark salary range for Director level pay at Microsoft in a non-engineering role? I understand there’s probably varying degrees based upon org/function, as well as location. Just assuming Remote work, what would salary/bonus/stocks look like? Or just TC in general?

If the reviews get low enough that candidates start asking questions, you’ll often see HR make a push internally to get good reviews to try and drown out the bad ones.
Bad orgs can’t outpace bad reviews.
We recommend businesses ask happy candidates for feedback but it’s difficult to white wash a page
Yes, they do.
Can confirm.
Idk if this happens anymore but throughout the 2010s I absolutely noticed my employer post fake positive reviews on glassdoor to drown out the legitimate but negative reviews
I feel like this is more of a forum for us to brainstorm ideas to help each other get through the door or gain a better understanding. I had the same question as you before reading various perspectives and insights
When I applied for work I did look to Glassdoor but many of the bad reviews just screamed "I'm a bitter (ex)employee and it was honestly hard to take them all that seriously. Having been a line manager I know all too well that there's always at least two sides to a story.
I would assume that companies do care about their name and reputation, but it's far more important to have positive feedback being spread via personal networking than random people hammering on their keyboards hidden behind internet anonymity.
If employees/ex-employees are willing to go to the trouble of posting a review on Glassdoor that's because they want to let potential candidates know of the positives/negatives of working for that company. One can use the sort by date functionality to see the trend. If reviews are getting worse that should give a hint on how unwilling the management is to change-improve. It is important for a company to treat all employees with respect even those with whom they decide to part ways. A fairly treated ex-employee is less likely to post a negative review.
I am planning to authenticate the employer reviews in these websites. So that only the respective employee can post the review and other unrelated people can't post the fake review. I am looking for people who already have experience working with a review platform to join me in this mission.
I guess still they can have control over abusive comments ,😅
In the case of my former employer... They should but they likely give no Fs.
The bigger companies don't care too much, the smaller do.
When I was looking for new jobs it was easy to see which reviews were legit and which were just previous employees angry.
I see a lot of those in indeed and here for my current company, people just angry that they did not do a good job.
We think it would be MUCH better if people could SEE THE REVIEWS WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT.
