Meal prep service, cleaner, therapist, high end gym, buying nutritious ingredients to cook with. For me luxury is having the means to make my life easier and also invest in my health and well-being.
🙏🏽 praying this into your life! InshaAllah!
Grocery delivery - here we have an app called Dumpling and I use the same shopper every time. Way better than Instacart and cheaper too
Mani & pedi 2x/month
Brazilian wax every 4-6 weeks
Forvr Mood candle subscription
Fresh flowers every 2 weeks
Dry cleaning pick up & delivery (don’t need this as often now)
Peloton
Pre-Check & Clear
Upgraded to AA Platinum - I fly enough that it just makes sense
Haircuts every 2 weeks (I wear a natural tapered cut)
Eye lash extensions
Personal trainer
House calls for my braids. I can’t sit in them salons whole day. Rather be in my home and do it on my own timing
At home concierge salon services sounds amazing!
Coffee subscription. I have beans delivered within 48 hours of roasting. It’s $70 a month, so not breaking the bank. But it feels luxurious in the mornings and has been a great way to start the day.
But as with all luxuries over time it now just *is*, and I can’t ever go back. So I guess it’s crossed over in to “necessity?”
Cleaning service, personal trainer, lawn and garden maintenance, CLEAR, upgraded to Peloton equipment.
CLEAR & TSA Pre are SO worth it
Building a multi-level apt building for rent. Too old to waste money on trivial things.
I spend a ton every month at the health food store. I love learning about natural remedies and using them as opposed to otc medicines. I recently started making my own elderberry syrup which has helped me save a lot. I am a vitamin/supplement junkie 🤣
D2, I did the sameeee! I have a friend who is a nurse practitioner and she calls little ole me for remedies! 🤣🤣🤣
First, Yahoo is still kicking?!?
We have a semi-monthly cleaner, I buy food when I want (take out), purchase mostly organic foods, mani/pedi (this feels more like table stakes though), monthly nail set, Uber when I don’t feel like driving.
I also spend like $30-40/week on pre and probiotic drinks like Poppi, Olipop, etc.
My luxury indulgences are getting fancy facials and massages
Also taking black car/premier Ubers
Monthly massages!
I am kind of interested in online grocery or having someone deliver my groceries too because I also hate grocery shopping haha.
I'm considering doing it tbh
Man y’all got money!
I used to do a massage and facial subscription, but it wasn’t useful anymore.
I do a food subscription because yes I too hate grocery shopping but not enough to do Instacart because I found that they get my food wrong too much.
Other than that it’s basic shopping, providing a roof over my head (bc that’s luxury these days) anything else tbh would be figuring out if I can fit it in my budget. (Travel, hair, mani pedi, facial)
Selfcare- regular mani/pedi and facials
Bi-weekly home cleaning service
Laundry & dry cleaning
Luxury apartment with home office
Luxury car
Global entry&clear (but free through Amex PL)
Luxury travel accommodations
Usually fly premium economy or business/first class
I used to have Equinox and P/T but think $1,400/mo on gym&p/t was just too much (I live in NYC)
