Yes, i am the foreigner. I come from Uzbekistan to US 6 years ago and study the Accounting and MIS. I soon do the internship at EY Tax and get offer for job. I work now 1 year, I love job very much but counselor no likey me. I good work but have time hard speaking to fellow colleegs. You can help me??
You all make me very upset. First of all I do the confiding in you all then you make the fun of me??? EY1 only good person who care about me. I need the solid advise but no one give me. I miss only 2 deadline, 75% utilization, good review, only problem i am anger at ppl bcz they make fun of speech. I talk slowly to make sure they understand but sometime i hear ppl behind back say i no good communication. I try to learn the engrish but very hard

Dude idk I just saw on another post that EY OP said they are a 1 and asked ppl to see this thread...I have never heard of a 1 before, with all the layoffs recently I'm surprised OP wasn't just let go if this is real
If this is legit, the firm will also pay for you to take a business English class. We had so many individuals in my former office that needed language assistance, we had on-site classes.
gtfo bro. Noone would hire you if your english is this bad. Plus the firm is firing 2s. I don't think they would hesitate if you're a 1.
The sad thing is I review workpapers by non-native English speakers and the language and grammar is not much worse than in these shitposts. The improper use of "the" is spot on.

I'm a foreigner too and came to US 4 years ago. English is definitely important, but I'm not hired because I speak perfect English. "The" or "a" mistakes are ok as long as the nature/fact of my expression is not influenced. OP there gotta be a way to balance your overall performance between language disadvantage and all your other advantages. 6 years are enough to learn English well, I can tell you didn't expose yourself to English environment enough. If language is the ultimate reason of "1", accept the result, take the one year as valuable English/culture learning experience and carry on. Don't care too much about what others said, maybe you won't see them ever again in life. If PA is your LIFE not because that's your only choice but because you truly have passion in it, show your determination to the world, keep trying and improving, you will definitely make it in PA in the future.
