What great news. I haven't received a raise in two years, let alone a promotion. I guess 2026 won't be my year either.

Help! I wanted to know your thoughts about accepting a job and forgetting to negotiate salary and 3 months in asking for a raise. Should I just wait or should mention it? I do love my job but because I feel like I’m not getting paid my worth, I have been looking at other positions but do not really want to leave. Help!

I have my annual review coming up and want to hear thoughts on what a reasonable raise expectation is. I report to the COO and currently make $94k + up to 10% annual bonus based on company hitting their revenue goal + I have 3000 stock options. I have 3 YOE in customer success but pivoted to a non technical program manager role at a series c tech startup last September. I have been getting consistently positive feedback at quarterly reviews. What raise should I aim for?

So I was offered a role in Strategy Consulting in after 2 years in Risk Consulting however, after 2 years I’ve only worked on Internal audit engagements few ad hocs such as updating risk register and the delegation of authority matrix.

Honestly speaking I am doing good and I am up for promotion in October however I am not fully enjoying my time but I fear that the move would not be a good and I can’t hit the ground running which scares me.

Any advice and past experiences in such career shit?

I work as an AGM in a busy restaurant. Been working there for just over a year, and haven't had a single raise. I now only make 0.50 cents more than even the lowest paid shift lead but I am doing a lot more work. I'm no longer satisfied with these conditions. Just became an ACD. Im in a limbo. Half of the time im being treated as a Super Senior AD and the other half im being treated as a Almost CD. Then when im scoped over work that my CD and I oversee, some people are asking me how does my role differ from the CD’s, as they tend to look at me as an unnecessary layer for approvals. In a way, i do the job so well that i get asked to do more AD projs and guide more projs — but then: wtf does my CD do? They mostly just 👍🏻what i direct n approve

I went for 3 interviews with a company met with vp and was given package thinking I aced interview there was another candidate 😞 the other person for the job. The VP calls me to tell me I didn’t get position however he wants me to re apply in new year that something else will be open, and that he wanted to keep a copy of my resume what does this mean ? Wow! What a day! What type of company starts layoffs right before the holidays? Lost my job this morning and I am stressed out. Is there any chance of finding a new job before the holidays? I'm doubting it.

I found a company I was really excited about working at. I applied for the job and went through 5 rounds of interviews. At the end they said I was OVER qualified and they want me for a different position higher up in the company. I was super excited they then had me go through 5 more rounds, 3/5 people were the same. The interviews mostly went "didn't you get the job, I highly recommend you? I'll just put you down as a 10". After those were done they told me I was UNDER qualified. Can't win!
