You will need to talk to HR. It's called fluid talent - there maybe something written about it on your intranet. You are allotted one informational interview before disclosing to all parties.
And you don't get more $ for moving. Hello, salary bands.
Look at Fluid Talent, try Emma Rosenberg for International. You didn't get this info from me :-)
Email HR and ask about network mobility. People do it all the time. I've done it twice in my career. If you can swing it it's actually pretty sweet because you don't have to start over w benefits/PTO accruing/tenure-based perks.
You should go through HR at your current agency actually, bc they can connect you with the right HR person at the sister company and will oftentimes help with your transition. It's not uncommon to do this kind of thing. And of course they ask about previous job performance...it's all the same as any other interview process, more or less..just without the salary negotiation. They're not just gonna take your word for it bc you work in the publicis network.
I'll trade with you.
Where's the older LB guy ...the one with lover spots and sage advice ...let's ask him. I'm pretty sure he knows
Liver spots* oops.
Yes. Start with HR. Ask them the procedure. They'll tell you without telling your boss.
Perfect. Thanks for all the info. @pub1 - also true that salary stays same or unable to get relo if in a different city?
The way I understand it, if they *need* someone in that region they will pay relo but if it is a *want* you may be on your own. But I don't think they would change salary..
Never done it w/ different cities so idk about relo expenses. Something tells me they wouldn't cover it. But comp shouldn't change. If you're in NYC consider that a plus because our salaries are generally higher given cost of living and all.
You have to tell HR that you are applying to another Publicis agency. My friend that went to Publicis NY had to do that, and they even went as far as asking her boss about her job performa ca
See what you can find out through your network before talking to HR. Once you talk to HR, your current supervisor will be made aware you are looking.
