What happens if you get put on a PIP at EY? Asking as a senior in CCaSS who started less than a year ago. I missed some timesheets and some trainings so was put on a PIP because of that even though performance review from managers was good. Also did not get a raise for this year. Wanted to get opinions on future at EY and what to do next. Any suggestions for salary, career growth, etc. will be helpful.

Start looking for new job.

Didn’t get any raise should have already been a big red flag that they want you gone.

Think about whether you are good at your position and if still want to do it before jump to next position.

Dm for BDO referral if you see a position interests you.

Start submitting your time sheet and go to your trainings?

Yep I am working on that and haven’t missed one in the last 3 months. Will get all the trainings done also. Won’t be having this issue again.

Have you been having direct feedback on a more frequent cadence ? Instead of just cycles ? Also, have a buddy interested in CCASS, is there anything you can recommend he talk to about the work ?

This is after year end review. No salary raise this year for me. I have been having monthly calls with my counselor to discuss and have a plan going forward but I don’t want to be removed from the firm.

like

I’m in the same boat. Was put on PIP because of missed timesheets and not meeting the yearly billable hours. And yes, everyone is right start looking for another job like i am

like

So turns out they reached out to my managers again and realized it was unfair so never officially got put on it. They just talked about coming up with a performance plan. I left anyway so…

When you say good, how did you do compared to peers? Monthly calls are more geared towards ensuring you’re growing as expected rather than correcting missed time sheets and training.

All you really can do is ensure compliance with all admin manners and doing an outstanding job on your engagements.

Check the dials of your dashboard in Success Factors. Cycle 3 is now available. You should be able to switch through and see how you progressed cycle over cycle. If you’re not sure how to navigate have your counselor do this with you and help you interpret what you’re seeing, what came up during counselor connect lead meetings and the outcome following the leadership review. Hopefully your counselor has already done this. If you got need improvement but your dials look ok, counselor should be able to reach out to people consultant to see what drove that. It’s true missed compliance will get you into the N.I. Category especially if you missed a major milestone such as independence. Independent poses a risk to EY as a whole So it is looked at more seriously and impacts ratings. Timesheets alone do not impact your rating.

Did you have any reason to miss the timesheets and trainings?

Thanks! I think in the independence, it asked about the part where if we have family members who work in industries that are conflicting in nature with EY’s work and all. I was not sure about that so I had to get more info from my family. However I missed that by the deadline. Did not know it was so serious and that I would get put on a PIP due to that.

I’m curious - Why are you missing time sheets and trainings? These don’t seem like hard rules to follow. Are you staffed on too many things and maybe that’s affecting your performance?

I missed timesheets due to errors in our time system and it frequently gave me issues. Missed independence due to not being sure about some details about family’s jobs.

How are you people being put on a PIP after a year because of chargeable hours? It’s their fault if you weren’t booked to engagements. Also how did you miss so many timesheets like 10+?

Climate Change is conceptually superior until gas hit $5 and Europe starts planned blackouts.

OP, how did you make out?

I’m 3 months into a new job where I work for a global tech company, and I want to ask for a pay review from my manager at the 6 month mark when I pass probation.
I know I’m going above and beyond my responsibilities as I’m not just managing projects, but I’ve also set up a global PMO governance board and have identified gaps within other teams where I’m assisting with the solution.

Is it acceptable for me to be asking this from my manager, and if so how do I raise this?

Do they ask salary expectations? I have no idea what to say for the salary question. Feedback appreciated. Thanks

Which skillset/technology should I start with?

Any guidance would be really helpful.

Do people really have to work late night in advertising agency? I'm new to the industry like I graduated a year ago from an average college with some high hopes to dive into a professional agency, working in an average company but thank god I got the job in this Covid crises, yet underpaid and working for atleast 12 to 13 hrs a day, and someday the working hrs surpasses, isn't there any regulatory that can help people like us for our well being? Or help us get money, in return of our health?
