I’m considering applying for remote legal admin positions in addition to my current role (also remote, with flexible schedule). Do we foresee any issues with working two remote jobs, assuming no conflicts? How could I go about talking about my current role, if asked? It would be nice to have an extra income source, and since I work from home, I don’t see the time being an issue.
Anyone here exited from BIG4 to Salesforce? What do you like about the switch? Interviewing for a role next week and trying to find out more about life on other side.
If you filed I-485 are you in status if you quit or are laid off and have enough time to basically find a new job until you get your interview? Im trying to understand what happened in the days when eb based gc didn’t require an interview and someone was laid off
Can someone from Deloitte explain the OCR interview process? Got an email to schedule a 60 minute virtual interview for the Strategy internship, and there weren’t many details provided on what to prep
Had an interview with a firm in NYC I’m really interested in earlier this week. It felt like it went well and like the partners (including the hiring partner) liked me. What is the general time between interview and offer/rejection?
I am looking to go in-house and I thought all of the interviews went well at one company. A week after my last interview, the internal recruiter contacted me just to touch base. 3 days later, I received an offer from another company and I contacted the recruiter from the job I want to tell her and she said she would check with the hiring manager and that we should she responded, “stay in close touch.” I emailed today casually to see if there was any update. No answer, any insight into why?
Had my Green Card (AOS) interview today for a marriage based application. We did not receive an immediate decision after the interview. One item cited by the officer was the expiration of I-693 medical records (it’s been over 2 years since we filed). Coincidently, as per new USCIS guidelines, they’ve extended the validity of I-693 to 4 years due to covid. I didn’t know this or else I would’ve called it out. I’m hoping this doesn’t generate an RFE. Anyone here with a similar experience? Any RFEs?
Interviewing for a PM role in series A (Canadian) FinTech with 2yoe, they're insisting on a salary range and I can't dodge it anymore What should I ask for (comp/options), considering I mainly want options, but also decent pay so I can exercise those options?
Have a first round interview Friday, any suggestions on how to best prepare in the next two days. Relatively new to the PE process and would be great to know what to focus on. Thanks!
I had an interview today for an assistant controller job and it’s working in an industry I’ve worked in a little but not much. They’re fine with that but I’m worrying that I oversold myself. They want me to be able to manage month end by myself and show progression within 90 days. I’m naturally sales minded so I’m sitting here wondering if I’d be setting myself up for failure and get fired. Thoughts?
What questions do you ask in an interview to find out more about work life balance? I’m considering leaving audit however don’t want to end up in another firm that works around the clock.
I am currently interviewing for one of the FAANG companies. If this works out, I will be 6-7 months pregnant by the time I actually join them. Should I disclose this while I interview? Or should I disclose after accepting the offer?
If an interviewer wants to move you (the candidate) to the next round would they usually tell you at the end of an interview?
Hey McKinsey fish. What's the interview process like for an Engagement Manager role (Junior)? Are there case interviews involved? Can you give pointers to the process?
So with all the chat on here about how easy it is to get hired, are you as a hiring manager putting more emphasis into screening and challenging interviewees than before as a response? I ask because I successfully went through an interview process and have no idea how a candidate who wasn’t well versed in the cases, practice, and even consulting exp would be able to pass.
What’s a good answer to the question “Why are you leaving so soon?” For context I have made 2 exit since last year. I was below average at the start of the pandemic and now quite a bit on the upper range. In each instance I was either approached by the recruiter or the hiring manager. Even now the most recent interview was when the company approached me through LinkedIn but still they asked me this question which is quite confusing. I mean you approached me and I like the work you do.
How do you get past imposter syndrome? Someone more senior than me is encouraging me to apply to a role that I feel totally unqualified for. I hate my current job, but I’m good at it and am scared to fail the interview for this new position. I feel like if it doesn’t work out I’m letting the people who support me down :(

Traveling to an EU country from a third country with a national visa + work permit. Do I need a return ticket?
What is the most embarrassing thing you’ve seen someone do with their camera accidentally on? Worst I’ve seen is a kid hitting his vape forgetting he was on camera (not that bad IMO)
How to get in a tech company (stock benefit is attractive) with 2 YOE in healthcare consulting? I’m surrounded with so many software engineers and feeling peer pressure by their better hour and much more salary (they make 200k+ a year with only 2YOE)
Currently talking to recruiters for a new job and it is honestly such a turnoff when they talk too much about having a strong company culture and/or talking about making sure I'm a good fit culturally. For me that borders on culty and is a red flag. I would much rather hear from a recruiter that a workplace's "culture" is that they are accepting of all cultures, diversity, and personality types.
Put down payment on the BB58 black dial on metal bracelet. Now I’m just anxiously awaiting the call. Anyone want to share how long it took to get yours?
Anybody jump from accounting to operations/PM? Do you enjoy it? Any insight is appreciated
Contemplating making a move at some point this year since the market seems so hot. Trying to assemble a list of companies to target. I care about great TC and in having decent WLB (20-30hrs/wk, nothing crazy lol), stability and being fully remote. Have been a backbend Dev majorally and now a senior tech guy or an engg mgr. Not looking for new startups due to volatility factor. YOE: 12 Anyone have suggestions for me to look at in India or foreign companies offering a respectable overlap

Hey ladies – I know there's prob a fitness bowl but I want perspectives from women specifically as I know it can be more challenging for us to manage weight loss. I got into running during quarantine and have doing anywhere from 10-12 miles a week. I fell off and recently am jumping back into it again but now I am doing 7 mile runs 3-4 times a week. Why does no one talk about working for Oracle? I mean they have been around for a while and I'm pretty sure they make bank. Why aren't they considered in the same league as companies like Facebook?
I’m an incoming AC1 at Bain and I have spent the summer studying a bit for the GMAT since we had a stipend. I took it with no practice and received a 640. After studying on an off for a couple of months I received a 690. I’m likely going to cancel the score since I realize it isn’t enough for M7. To provide some more insight on my profile. I graduated undergrad from UofM BBA Magna Cum Laude, have interned in Big 4 consulting, IB, and VC, and I’m an Asian-American. What should I do?
Why can’t Onesource income tax recognize which states have different add back rules for state taxes and automatically make the adjustment?
