My wife and I are moving to Boston from overseas (we’re from Italy and we’ve recently won the diversity visa green card lottery).

We are looking to rent a 1BR starting in January, ideally for ~$3k/month. I’ll be working in the downtown area.

Do you recommend we go for a serviced/luxury apartment (e.g. Montaje, 345 Harrison, etc.) or hire a broker to get a “normal” apartment?

Any managed buildings recommendations within our budget? Also, what are some good brokers we could work with?

Filed for H1B extension cap-exempt. Extension got approved. Not stamped yet. Now I am moving to jpmorgan. JPMC ready to send USA after one year if H1B can be utilised. Wanted to know if H1B employer can be changed in india (unstamped visa). ?

I am required to travel to Canada anyway for my PR stamping and I am trying to figure out if I can get my H1B stamped around the same time while I am in Canada for my PR, since it is extremely difficult to get appointments in India these days? Should I complain to a firm's HR if the interviewers laughed at my answer during an interview? Maybe it sounded scripted but it was still heartfelt and genuine: my immigration story and how that made me appreciate the rule of law. I said it soo many times during OCI's that maybe it eventually sounded robotic, but for the interviewers to laugh and one to say sarcastically "nice elevator pitch", I thought was rude. Thoughts?

Deloitte onboarding E-mail says , it background verification is not complete by target start date , they can postpone the date last minute.
I have 14th march as a start date and I don’t know my background verification status.
I emailed BIONBoarding but no response.
How am I supposed to give notice to my current employer without knowing BGC status ?
Please advise if someone faced this situation.
(P.S. I don’t have any record, just being cautious because I am on H1B/work visa)

My visa expiry is June 2023 , whereas my Appointment to consulate is July 2022. I am going to renew my visa now but for my appointment I had given my current passport number and for appointment I need to carry the renewed passport(Which will have new Passport Number) , please help if this will be an issue?? Will I be asked to book a new appointment with renewed Visa and passport number ?? anyone faced similar situation??

Currently, in accenture. I have had very bad billable hours and not much achievement this fiscal year. I am worried of getting fired, so i applied for another job. Got offered may be 5% above my current pay with 5k bonus, but in lower level at Deloitte. I think working lower level will give me more opportunities to learn as i think i have lot to learn. I made decision based on my gut and accepted the offer. I have not talked to anyone on accenture side yet. What you think?
