Hi everyone, I am working on java since 2017. I have 1 YOE in Tata Consultancy in support and now I want to switch to a Java developer role. I have personally worked on Java, Servlets, JSP, Spring, Spring Boot, Rest API and Hibernate. Made & deployed a few projects also, but don't have relevant/ company experience in Java. I also cleared Infosys interview 1 month back but my notice period is 3 months, so HR dropped my candidature in negotiations. Can anyone please suggest to me what I should do?

The firm that’s hiring you won’t be happy if you go intern somewhere else. If you need a job, go do something random for a couple months.
I mean I think my firm (or moreso my team) wouldn't mind that. I'm equipping myself with new skills that will benefit all for when I do join. I can see how that may be true if I'm interning at a competitor tho.
If you want to do something "productive", pick up some differentiating skill (e.g. do a data science bootcamp or some sort of certification).

You’ll be much better off doing something like a volunteering project or just getting fit
Thank you all for the feedback. I should have clarified - I've been doing everything you all have been mentioning since February and as I was supposed to join this month. However, my start date was just pushed back 3 months so I wanted to do something productive as I am getting bored of relaxing haha
Study for the CPA exam
bartend and have a good summer. Worry about your productivity when you're at the firm and being paid for it.
