What is more important investing or being debt free?

Am I the only one that feels like we should have our student loans forgiven? (And I used to be adamantly opposed to ANY student loan forgiveness)
Our salaries continue to DECREASE as cost of living increases (not just “no raises”…decrease!…I realize I’m preaching to the choir haha). I can barely (and by “barely” I mean “can’t” TBH) make bills, pay for kids activities, etc (also a single mom of 3, for more context) LET ALONE pay my loans…
How do we start that movement?…

My student loan payments are about 1200/month at 7% interest. I still owe another 95K on my loan. I have the option to pay more every month and reduce my overall interest paid.

Under contract for nearly 1.1M. Wife and I are at HHI $315k. Will go up in the future, $400k in 3 years and $500k possible in 5-7 years. Back in May 2021, I rented a property that had sustained damage during the big snow storm. This wasn't disclosed at lease signing. Outside counsel has been prepping company witnesses for a trial in August. It is my subject area so I am supervising outside counsel. I did not, however, choose the counsel. He is doing a really awful job. Co counsel is better, but not great either. Higher ups love the firm… I do not want to micromanage, but I have genuine concerns about outside counsel’s ability to try this case.
