Completely hit or miss in regards to intellectuals at the firm. Some work hard while others just skate on by knowing that they'll continue to have clients paying for their services. Overall great personalities and above average work life balance compared to the other firms. Somewhat limited in terms of development though, you must actively push yourself in order to continue learning
Culture is good. If the leadership in the practice area is from ACN, I would avoid it...
There was a post a few weeks back critiquing the culture at EY and the 2020 strategy. If I knew how to copy FB links I would post it here lol
I grew up in a different firm and then came to EY. EY is collaborative and people oriented and has a lot of good things but the passive aggressive stuff snd occasional lack of accountability can sometimes get old. Like any of these firms, who you work with will make a big difference.
Operations Practice?
What EY2 said. Totally depends on practic, which is to be expected based on the size of the organization.
Generally new hires and certain PPEDs are very hard workers but there's a lot of mediocre talent and people that don't value development that hurt the organization.
I don't have a good frame of reference relative to other organizations. It's a good place to work overall if you enjoy what you're doing and are open to different experiences within your wheel house.
Any general feedback in the culture of the Operations Practice specifically?
What operations practice is it? Is it supply chain? Any idea what sector or region?
Interesting that EY1 calls out leadership from ACN. I'm at a different company and now have someone as my lead who came from ACN. So far so good though I only have a sample size of one.
My practice lead is from ACN and he's great
Which practice, EY4?
Passive aggressiveness can be a thing. What have you noticed E5?
EY1 - practice lead is maybe the wrong term. Tech Sector Strategy lead Jaimy Chadam is a good guy though. I've also heard positive things about Michael Yazgan, the SAP practice lead.
Anyone with insight into FSO strategy or just FSO overall?
EY4, Please don't tell me of what you have heard. .... I have real experiences...
Damn, sorry to hear that EY1. Care to elaborate? Haven't met Yadgar personally.
