Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

Honestly, I've been in this position for about 6 years, and I used to find the endless deadlines stressful. I've gotten a little bit better at prioritizing things, but I get it - it can be a lot, especially if you are prone to procrastination.
That's exactly it. When there are too many deadlines & expectations, procrastinating becomes easier because I don't know where to start! Do you have any advice?
I've always enjoyed building relationships & hanging out online and IRL. I find phone calls and e-mails overwhelming. It doesn't take very many for me to start wishing I didn't have this job sometimes. (Even though I know these parts would exist no matter where I work.)
Totally relatable! Of course, if I'm on a deadline, suddenly it's easier for me to respond to e-mails than it has been all week... lol!
Phone calls to me are overwhelming. I would rather just answer an email or a text. It's the constant playing phone tag back and forth and it just appears to waste my time anymore. Just send me an email or text because I am so busy doing other stuff and will get back to you at my convenience when I can sit down and have a few minutes or can answer a text much quicker if I'm in a meeting.
Same :( It's like I can never catch up! I often find myself working late into the night to make sure I meet the deadlines, and I can feel the pressure to get things done weighing heavily on me. It's so tiring but I just have to keep going and remind myself that I'm doing it for myself and my career.
The most overwhelming aspect of my job is the sheer volume of tasks that need to be accomplished. I often feel like I'm juggling too many plates and it can be difficult to stay on top of everything. Recently, I had the experience of being completely overwhelmed by the number of tasks I had to complete in a single day and it was a real eye opener for me. I now make sure to prioritize my work and take regular breaks to avoid feeling so overwhelmed.
