Y.O.E: 5.1 yrs

Pregnant with my 1st, and a very career oriented gal, but will have no family nearby ever. With Biden's new tax policies my salary is what puts us over the $400k line, as Hubby's is the better job with better benefits and stuff. Do you typically share your salary or salary expectations with recruiters on the first interview? I’ve had instances where the interviewer flat out tell me the range of salary band via email even prior to initial interview. I think this is a great way to set expectations from the get go and will save both parties time - but some companies like to play the “game” and get you to share numbers first, which I find very annoying. What have your experiences been with salary expectations?

Hello! I was just offered a job, but the salary is significantly lower than the range I asked for and when I asked to negotiate they said, we can’t go any higher. Should I walk?

The range I gave was 80-85k/ annually and they said oh that should work, the range for this role is $35-$42/hr - but then they came back and offered me $35/hr.

The main draw to the role at this point is the name of the company. But not sure it’s worth leaving my current role.

Deferred basis in a partnership. If I am looking to prove out the ending deferred related to an investment in a partnership is it as “simple” as taking the initial contribution and rolling in taxable income year over year for tax basis. For book basis initial investment rolling in book income year over year. Minus any distributions for both.

Is it normal that as a manager I’m working 10-12 hours daily, even though it’s not busy season. It always seems as if there’s another pressing issue, and we’re perpetually understaffed.

I’m contemplating a move to the southeast, specifically Raleigh or Charlotte, and possibly SC. Is it the same down there where I can expect to work those hours at a large firm?

I like the work I do, but I feel like going private would make it easier to spend time with my family.
