To be honest, for what I do day to day, I am not compensated fairly either. I do have work/life balance though because I work from home and it saves me time as I don't have to commute but my benefits suck.
I feel like we are all not being compensated fairly in our line of work. I love that you work from home to give you that work/life balance. It helped a lot… I see my friends that benefit from working from home.
I would expect to be paid with the same expectation of the work they require out of me
I usually do research on the role and company to see what I should ask for. I am definitely being way underpaid in my current role.
Yea, I usually will research what I want to be paid from a company that I want to work for first. If they don’t meet my expectations I would apply for the job. It seems like we are all underpaid.
Honestly, unless you’re corporate side, there is no wlb in retail. I barely scrape by, but I don’t generally think my pay is low; it’s higher than my previous companies with the same title. It’s just expensive AF to live where I am and in 2025 generally.
