Cogno AI Hey fishes, One of my friends, got offer in cognizant. She have an epfo account with inactive UAN and she changed her name in aadhar recently and this epfo account has the past name. So she raised request for name change 2 months ago and still it's processing. And now cognizant asking the acknowledgement of changed name which the previous company cannot provide for obvious reasons. Will it affect the doj? Or anyone had this kind of problem before? I started in the tech industry right out of undergrad and stayed in one company for 4 years before going to bschool. From that perspective, I doubt I would have learnt anything substantial had I left sooner because the industry was pretty dynamic and it takes time to build deep expertise. At two years, you’d barely be scratching at the surface of things. That said, I did leave at the point where I felt was getting too specialized too soon in my career. But even today, if you asked me about my first industry, I can speak about it with a lot of nuance rather than just at a high level. That’s pretty valuable.
tldr: IMO, stay until you feel like you’re not learning anything new and/or interesting.
Great thanks! Great points!
You see, I have learned that every 2 years and then leave is not all bad. Because of certain circusmtances I’ve left jobs after a year, but each opportunity has brought me more money and different experiences.
