Any fish still awake and working? 😀
McKinsey & Company I had a second round of interview with McK 1 week back but no one got back to me yet.
I only received a link to login to McK website where the status my job application shows “In Progress”.
I am not sure whether it takes so much time for McK to respond after the second round. Is anybody aware of this?

Technology won’t fix near as much as long as you have people that refuse it..
It’s an issue across all industries..why do you think that change management orgs exist?
The wastefulness of resources throughout the supply chain. Technology could be used to optimize production and shipping processes, which would minimize the amount of resources that are wasted.
I would like to be able to calculate the areas of success in the supply chain, I mean to be able to quantify how many mistakes could have been made and were not made, in this way we could compare the growth of the chain over time.
I'm really looking forward to seeing the kind of impact that autonomous vehicles will have in our industry!
I fully expect automation to be incorporated into almost every level of the supply chain process.
More simple tools that integrate data between software systems. Something that a non-IT person could integrate. There are a few of these tools out there, but nothing that takes the mapping part out of IT’s hands. Fantastic niche and specialized software add-ons are quickly being created for ERP and WMS software, but they all have to wait in line for IT to do the integration work. And IT never gets the funding for more people. Yes, they get funds to pay for the new software, but C-suite many times sees IT people as just ‘keeping the lights on’, instead of the catalyst to money saving solutions. Plus- IT peeps are expensive. They don’t see the correlation between spending the money on these people to save a lot of money later.
Forecasting! Maybe not fix but at least be closer!
Why is this an issue and what do you think technology can contribute towards addressing this concern? I'm still relatively new to the role so I'm hoping to catch up on things to look out for. Thanks!
I feel that the main problem of the SCM is to meet the agreed times, I hope that this problem can be solved, but many times it depends on false offers to attract customers.
Inventories are often heavy in the supply chain world, I believe that one way to optimize the process is to create a system capable of counting the smallest thing in the warehouse.
The logistics tasks are one of the most important parts of the SCM, I would like that this part had more space for the programming engineers, ie. software tailored to each type of supply chain this way would be achieved to minimize the margins of error.
