Hi Sharks, I am asked to sign the offer letter. It's kind of an agreement between me and the company for accepting the offer and compensation numbers. Of course It doesn't have statments like I have to join the company on signing this. My question is that 1. If I get a better offer can I go and ask them to revise the offer? 2. Can I decide not to join the company? Will there be any legal consequences? Have you ever been asked to sign the offer? Boeing Tata Consultancy Wipro Capgemini Cognizant
The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?
What…..

Do you have work authorization for the market you are trying to exit to? If not, it's a tough situation unless you are very experienced or coming from an MBA.
If it's not UK/NL, do you know the local language? If not, that could be a deal breaker - very little chance to land anything without local language in other markets in EU unless you want to exit to start-ups.
Have you looked into transfering internally to a major EU office? This is what a lot of people do or they do an MBA.
Another option is to exit to your local tech company's affiliate and then transfer internally, but it's rather complicated.
