What should my freelance SCW / ACD day rate and hourly rate be in NYC? I have 7.5 years experience, a solid book, some awards (no Lion) and a good resume. I was thinking 1200 day, 125 hour + OT.

I asked for a raise and instead got laid off. Told that after looking into finances not only can they not afford a raise they cannot afford me. But I know for a fact they are replacing me with an Agency that say they can run our Social Media for 500pcm. Is this normal practice these days?

Help me ask for a raise in my upcoming performance review? In sum, my company’s HQ is in Texas and I feel I’m being paid a Texas wage when I live in Los Angeles (the role is remote).
