I've run plenty of implementation projects that were strategic and fast paced. Just doing "high level" work can actually get a bit boring - make recommendations and move on
Sounds like you must be starting as an analyst? If so, you're probably less likely to be on a strategic "high level" engagement at first - my strategy projects are almost always smaller teams and we can't afford to have a new hire since there isn't time to slow down.
Yea, I’ll be starting as an analyst. See, that’s interesting- I didn’t know that because I really have no idea how projects look like in GPS. Can I dm you to chat further? Climate work is something I’m particularly interested in

No clue but it seems like here the majority of posts regarding gps are new joiners asking how fast they can switch to commercial
Don’t have access to anything internal yet :-/ and online has some interesting info but I couldn’t find anything super specific per se

It depends on your background, I’m in Strategy and have been at the firm for 6 years and all of my projects were 4-6 months. You just need to be aligned to the right offering and have the relevant skills, and most importantly ability to network appropriately
