You’ll be fine by Sunday. I actually went to work like an idiot the day of procedure, but better to just chill at home and relax. Barring any complications you should be ok the next day.
Rely depends--my retrievals were not bad, little tired, little crampy--but my friend was knocked out for a week.
Took me a week to feel normal. Didn’t want to leave the house for the first 5 days. But it totally depends on how many eggs you get and what trigger shot they use etc.
@BA1, how can they schedule your retrieval so far out? Is that just an estimate?
After every single one of my appointments, they have more info and are able to give me a better estimate, but even now I only have an estimate that my retrieval will be on the 6th
I was rough the first 72 hours after. Took the full 2 weeks to feel normal again.
After 72 hours pain was more manageable but I didn’t feel up to leaving my apartment until a week after my procedure. Initially I couldn’t get up or down from couch or bed without husband’s help, walking was painful, sleep was not great. Pain wise was a combination of worst hang over mixed with worst period cramps with little relief from OTC meds. I would try to opt out of the drive if I were you…
I took the whole day of the procedure off and just rested. I was fine to go back to my office job the next day. A little sore and crampy, but nothing terrible (at least by women standards).
